چکیده

We describe a new interconnection network called the Enhanced Butterfly (EBn). It is a Cayley graph with n2 nodes, each incident with five edges. This new network has a diameter n which compares favorably to the wrap-around butterfly (Bn) with the same number of nodes and a diameter of b3n/2c. Bn is a subgraph of EBn. The simple and optimal routing algorithms for this network are presented.

Comments on "A New Family of Cayley Graph Interconnection Networks of Constant Degree Four"

Vadapalli and Srimani [2] have proposed a new family of Cayley graph interconnection networks of constant degree four. Our comments show that their proposed graph is not new but is the same as the wrap-around butterfly graph. The structural kinship of the proposed graph with the de Bruijn graph is also discussed.

Large butterfly Cayley graphs and digraphs

We present families of large undirected and directed Cayley graphs whose construction is related to butterfly networks. One approach yields, for every large k and for values of d taken from a large interval, the largest known Cayley graphs and digraphs of diameter k and degree d. Another method yields, for sufficiently large k and infinitely many values of d, Cayley graphs and digraphs of diame...

Finite groups admitting a connected cubic integral bi-Cayley graph

A graph   is called integral if all eigenvalues of its adjacency matrix  are integers.  Given a subset $S$ of a finite group $G$, the bi-Cayley graph $BCay(G,S)$ is a graph with vertex set $Gtimes{1,2}$ and edge set ${{(x,1),(sx,2)}mid sin S, xin G}$.  In this paper, we classify all finite groups admitting a connected cubic integral bi-Cayley graph.

Dihedral Butterfly Digraph and Its Cayley Graph Representation

In this paper, we present a new extension of the butterfly digraph, which is known as one of the topologies used for interconnection networks. The butterfly digraph was previously generalized from binary to d-ary. We define a new digraph by adding a signed label to each vertex of the d-ary butterfly digraph. We call this digraph the dihedral butterfly digraph and study its properties. Furthermo...

Cayley graph associated to a semihypergroup

The purpose of this paper is the study of Cayley graph associated to a semihypergroup(or hypergroup). In this regards first  we associate a Cayley graph to every semihypergroup and then we study theproperties of this graph, such as  Hamiltonian cycles in this  graph.  Also, by some of examples we will illustrate  the properties and behavior of  these Cayley  graphs, in particulars we show that ...
